GO GO Speed Racer?

"IGN FilmForce recently broke the news that Matrix filmmakers Larry and Andy Wachowski were going to write and direct the live-action version of the cartoon classic Speed Racer for Warner Bros. and producer Joel Silver."

Sweet, well kinda... I mean the real speed racer sucked in terms of anime style and that over use of speed hashing. Even with all the bad dubbing and overly harsh anime stylings it was still an awesome anime. Not only for it's time but forever. Still one of my all time favorites. So will the matrix bro's f'it'up? Who cares if the past is any reflection of the future the movie will suck but it will still be awesome.

Afro Samurai on Spike TV
Written by Malakai Kingston

A New samurai series with Samuel L Jackson as the main voice actor will soon be running on Spike. The website has the following to describe as the story.

"The tale of Afro Samurai is one of bloody hardship and pain.  Along his solitary path of revenge for his murdered father, he sheds no tears and knows no love.  Forever chased by powerful enemies in a lawless technology-speckled dystopia, he evades bullets and blade to reach his final prey: a man who will not die.  But Afro will reach his quarry - even if it means painting a road of blood and brains from here to the bitter inevitable end."

Sounds awesome to me, not to mention that this series on Spike brings the ever growing obviousness to the statement "Anime is Mainstream"
